Issued in 1977, Mrs. Brown is the third album from 5 Revolutions and the most progressive sounding LP they recorded. While keeping their signature Zamrock sound, the band push the envelope here with proto-disco, proto-reggae and Afrocentric influences. Great from start to finish, this is a solid Zamrock offering with a modern edge not found on Boyfriends (1975) or Free Man (1975). While all original copies have a distracting flaw with the mastering, Mrs. Brown has been beautifully restored and sounds better than ever.
