DOL-001 vs. DOL-101: What’s the Difference?

Both DOL-001 and DOL-101 are official Nintendo GameCube model numbers (they refer to internal hardware revisions). In day-to-day use, they behave essentially the same—so the differences are mostly internal design updates, not “features” customers can typically notice.

1) Internal Hardware Revision (Most of the Difference)

• DOL-001 is generally considered the earlier/larger revision of the GameCube.
• DOL-101 is a later revision with updated internal components and circuit design.
