Collection: Scott Hamilton
American jazz tenor saxophone player.
Born : September 12, 1954 in Providence, Rhode Island.
From the very beginning of his musical career in the mid 70's he was associated with the swing-revival scene which made him - for his age - a very unmodern artist. However - within that genre he was seen as the future and his smooth playing has been compared to great swing tenors like Ben Webster. Besides releasing his own records on the Concord Jazz label, he has led the label's house band in many various settings, also backing vocalists like Maxine Sullivan and Rosemary Clooney.
Husband of Manami Hamilton.
