Collection: Leon Zervos (Mastering)

Chief mastering engineer at 301 Studios, Sydney since 2007. His initials, "LZ", appear etched in the runouts of numerous Australian and US releases. Then a Lacquer Cut By credit is appropriate.

Zervos grew up in Sydney, Australia, and began his career in 1982 at EMI Studios 301, Sydney. By the late 1980s, he had established himself as a top engineer in Australia, mastering hits for artists such as INXS, Crowded House and Midnight Oil.

In 1993, Zervos moved to New York City, where he worked at Absolute Audio.
In 1999 he became chief mastering engineer at Masterdisk.
In 2004 he became senior mastering engineer at Sterling Sound.
During his time in New York he worked with such artists as Aerosmith, Mobb Deep, Maroon 5, N'Sync, Avril Lavigne, Gavin DeGraw, Duran Duran, Ben Folds, Citizen Cope.
