Larry Nix (Mastering)

American mastering engineer, who moved to Ardent Mastering in Memphis, Tennessee, after leaving Stax in 1975. He later established his own company, L. Nix & Co., Inc. (later renamed L. Nix Mastering), which was located within Ardent Studios. He retired in 2014, and his son, Kevin Nix, took over the company.

When entering ANVs, please omit any separators/adornments from around his name and use proper capitalisation, e.g. L. Nix, not -L. NIX-.

Nix runouts may include additional inscriptions, cryptic shout-outs to whoever was assisting or hanging around the studio, and a variety of symbols and glyphs, including symbols for the planets and signs of the zodiac
