Ian Sefchick (Mastering)

American rock musician, songwriter and mastering/lacquer cutting engineer. He started his career as a studio technician at Capitol Mastering in 2009, where he restored a Neumann VMS66 lathe and subsequently starting his mastering career. After Capitol closed down in 2020, he started Dark Sky Mastering with his partner Margaret Luthar.

At Capitol, his cuts can be recognized by a monogram containing the initials IS etched in the runouts, alongside the MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp. (The S is rotated and contained within the I's crossbars, which is sometimes mistaken for an H.)
