American trumpeter, vocalist, composer, band leader and producer.
Married to Lani Hall (1973), father of Eden Alpert-DeVries (had with Sharon Mae Lubin).
Co-founder of A&M Records with partner Jerry Moss in 1962.
Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 (Lifetime Achievement).
