From Stony Point, New York. Founder of Chris Athens Masters / Chris Athens Mastering in Austin, Texas.
Former mastering engineer at Sony Music Studios, New York City (1992-98) and senior mastering engineer at Sterling Sound (1998-2012). Athens ran his company alongside engineers Kurt Bradley and Dave Huffman. Together, their work has reached over 288 billion streams, achieved 833 platinum records, and 54 diamond records.
Unfortunately Chris passed away March 23, 2026.
