Born August 6, 1946; Bradford, West Yorkshire, England – died April 16, 2017; Vista, California, USA.

Guitarist and composer best known for his work in jazz fusion. Inducted into Guitar Player Magazine's hall of fame and five-time winner of the magazine's readers' poll. He was also featured in Musician Magazine's 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
