Afrika Gumbe

Afrika Gumbe is a musical group formed by Marcelo Lobato, Marcos Lobato, Pedro Leon, Fô Ventura and Humberto.
In the 80 young African students, mostly from Guinea Bissau were in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, to play and have fun. It was there that Marcelo Lobato joined the band.
The Afrika Gumbe name was inspired by N'Gumbe, rhythm and dance of Guinea Bissau.
