David Roger Johansen

David Johansen (born January 9, 1950, Staten Island, New York, died February 28, 2025, New York City) was a singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the lead singer for the New York Dolls and for his work under the pseudonym Buster Poindexter.

In 2013 married Mara Hennessey.
Was married to Cyrinda Foxe-Tyler (1977-1978), to Kate Simon (1983-2011), and to Mara Hennessey (2013-2025).
